Our Staff

Medical

Our senior specialist can be involved in the management of care in three ways: either directly by meeting with the patient and family, indirectly via progress / clinical review meetings and team discussions, and/or by providing advice to GPs about symptom management.  This involvement can be either by telephone or home visits.

Nursing

Our specialist nurses can provide care to improve quality of life, to promote comfort and to support the choices of patients and their family/carers.  Nursing care is a key component of our approach to meeting needs and care wishes. Our nursing team works to alleviate physical symptoms such as pain.

Counselling

Our Counsellors provide information, emotional and holistic support for patients and their family / carers, along with assistance for the individualised experience of grief and loss.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapist is available to assist patients to live as independently as possible by identifying equipment and other strategies which can be used in the home.

Music Therapy

Our Music Therapy staff utilize techniques including live and recorded music to encourage emotional / spiritual expression, stimulate creativity, and reduce perceptions of pain and other symptoms.

Pastoral Care

Our Pastoral Care staff are available to offer spiritual and emotional support and understanding, always respecting patient beliefs and wishes.

Community Welfare

Our Community Welfare staff can provide assistance with obtaining government and other community support, locating information, seeking referrals to services and in gathering practical assistance for the patient and their family / carers.

Volunteers

Our volunteers are integral and valuable members of the support team. They work closely with the professional staff to provide assistance in many ways including companionship, practical support around the home as well as offering respite for your family members.
